What's on in June

Sunday 23rd June:  GC handicap singles tournament – open to everyone of whatever standard.  Play will be from 10am until about 5pm.

Ipswich win their first GC league match

Well done to the Ipswich team of Martin, Celia, Steve and Simon who won the first GC league match against Hunstanton on Sunday.

Suffolk win EACF Golf Tournament

A Suffolk team - 75% of whom were from Ipswich Croquet Club - won the Ken Wheeler Shield on Saturday. A surprise win - particularly for those playing in the Suffolk team! Click here for more details.

InterCounties

The Suffolk team, which included 4 Ipswich players: Steve Comish, Martin Leach, Philip Eardley and Simon Riley, won division two of the AC InterCounty Championship. This means they have been promoted and will therefore play in division one next year.

Golf Croquet World Championship

Two Ipswich members - David Crawford and Martin French - played in the 2013 Golf Croquet World Championship which was held in Cairo and Martin managed to get to the last 32. If you are interested, the final, between Reg Bamford and Ahmed Nasr, can be viewed on YouTube.
